Dear students, I’ve been asked to describe my impression about the Uppsala International Week. I’d first like to point out that this has been a great week,  which fill my head with good memories.

Discover new countries, new cultures, new people and a new way of traveling
I’m strongly encouraging all the students of the Uppsala University to apply for an international week. Take the chance to discover: new countries, new cultures, new people and a new way of travelling. Get some international friends, get to know the way you react in an group composed of international students.

“I learned so much more about Swedish tradition, a lot more than I could have possibly done by visiting a lecture at the university.”

Best memory of Uppsala IW
If  I had just one chance to relive an event of this IW again, I guess it’ll be the first day at Norredatorp. I was really amazed about the beauty of the Swedish countryside. Apart the beautiful landscape, the hot sauna and the cold water, we had the chance to get to know a lot of amazing people.

Again, take this opportunity you’re being offered, go abroad, meet people, get to know them and maybe more importantly get them to know you. Exchange about your culture and your tradition and be proud of representing your country abroad. I learn so much more about Swedish tradition, a lot more than I could have possibly do by visiting a lecture at the university.

As the chairman of the Swiss International Week 2012 I’ll be very glad to welcome you next spring in Switzerland.

My best greetings and thank you to the organizing committee for their splendid work.
